Composition & Structure:

  • It usually consists of a suitable phase change material and encapsulation material. Phase change substances may include some specific organic compounds (such as some fatty acids, alcohols, etc.) or inorganic salt hydrates, etc., which can undergo phase transformation at about -4°C. The encapsulation material is generally a polymer material, which encapsulates the phase change substance, and the common structure is the microcapsule structure.
